My girlfriend and I had the most romantic dinner. Quiet, cozy and private. Best date we've had. Flower delivery was a nice touch. Vernon's is a favorite!
Vernon's is the BEST restaurant in Albuquerque! My husband and I celebrated Valentine's a day early. We wanted to go on Valentine's but I guess they were totally booked a month ago! We can see why. We started with the crab cake appetizer. It was the best crab cake I have ever had and I am from Maryland! My husband tried the lamb shank. He said it was to die for. I had the 8 oz filet. I thought it was going to be too big but I ate every morsel. The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth like butter. I loved the spinach/tomato veggies. The night was enhanced by a wonderful bottle of wine from their extensive wine list. The live piano added to the enchanting ambiance and old world feel. Absolutely the best!
 we had one of the MOST memorable times! it was my husband's birthday (60th) so we wanted something different...and YES it happened! Vernon's is a cool unique place and the food was WONDERFUL. Pricey but we would go back again-his steak was cooked to perfection. The veggies were out of this world and my sea-bass was great. Our waitress was very busy but she took care of all our needs. We will recommend Vernon's and hope to return soon!!! The password "game" was alot of fun waiting to be called. The music was very good and we could actually talk and hear each other. WONDERFUL PLACE
I took a chance since this was our first visit to Vernon'sit AND was our 14 anniversary- well it was a home run. Great food, great service, and amazing atmosphere. This is my new #1 restaurant.
The speakeasy theme is unique and fun, a break from the ordinary. The ambiance is pleasant. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful; we thought that the service overall was exceptional. The food was very good. My husband enjoyed his filet and I, not being a beefeater, enjoyed my salmon. It was my husband's birthday and he was treated to a free dessert--a nice touch that not many restaurants will do. We enjoyed our visit and will return.
Great restaurant, especially if someone else is paying the bill! Great steaks, appetizers, wine list, scotch selection and atmosphere.
From the moment we gave our password to "Tiny" at the door, we entered an experience as we have seldom had before. The ambiance was delightful, our cocktails were first rate and the food was outstanding. The service was excellent, attentive but not overpowering. We chose this venue for our wedding anniversary, and had a truly memorable experience.
My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary. The food was delicious, all the wait staff were attentive, and the atmosphere was really one of a kind.
Vernon's definately lives up to the hype. Great place for special occasions or any time. Fun amosphere. Doorman is a gas!

This experience was a 10! From the moment we walked in until we walked out, we experienced excellent service and the best steaks we have had in Albuquerque in a very long time. My wife and I dined on Thursday evening and we noticed the restaurant was busier than we expected for a week night. We were not alone in choosing one of the best restaurants in the state that night.
Been going to Vernons for a number of years (at least 5). Each time it's been a wonderful experience, with exceptional food and service... and FUN! Read some of the other reviews and was afraid they had taken a step backwards after the renovations, but definintely not the case with our dinner. Will most definitely be returning for those special occasions... the only place in town that I'll order a filet because it's better than I can make at home!

Our first and hopefully not our last visit! The first restaurant we've been to in Albuquerque that would rival any you would find anywhere ... Coast to coast. Very pricey for what you would expect locally but from appetizer to entree, excellently prepared. The service was excellent although probably not at the level you might find in high end restaurants but then, not quite as high-brow either.... A secret password required for entry, threats of being frisked for wires and a look at the baseball bat "in case there is any trouble" .... Once past the fun at the door, expect nothing but a great dining experience. We didn't drink but the bar looked fun, some live music and seating ....
MAY BE THE BEST USDA PRIME EVER!!!!
We celebrated our 35th anniversary. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. The scallops melted in your mouth. Wonderful. The steak had good flavor. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we would come again for special occassions.
Outstanding food, attentive service, accommodating to requests, great place for a special event. Quite simply the best meal we've had in Albuquerque since moving there over 3 years ago. Sorry it took so long for us to discover the restaurant.
Great place to bring in the new year. Best dinner I have ever had.
